Alan Clark was born in Indiana, grew up in Maine and has had strong ties to Mexico for the past twenty years. He attended the University of Colorado (Sculpture) and Colby College (English Literature). Clark has had numerous one man and group exhibitions in the US and in Mexico, including Blood and Stone: Paintings by Alan Clark at the Farnsworth Art Museum in 2004. His paintings, drawings, and limited edition fine art prints hang in collections across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia. In addition to being a painter and graphic artist, Clark is a poet and playwright.
